Your 100Mhz data network carries an enormous amount of traffic on a daily basis. You can ill afford costly repairs or down-time due to damaged equipment. Yet transient surges can pose a major threat to any Category-5 cabling system. That's why Patton EPG developed the Model 570-R16 and 580-R16 rack mount Category-5 surge protector panels. Available in either 8 port or 16 port (input/output) configurations, these protectors are EIA/TIA TSB Category-5 certified, and will protect sensitive data ports without degrading network performance. The Model 570-R16 is designed for installation at the point of use, while the Model 580-R16 installs at barriers (patch panels, wiring closets, etc.). Both models feature N.E.X.T. ratings of less than -43 dB (worst pair) and insertion loss of less than 0.4 dB. Transient energy on all ports is diverted safely to chassis ground.
